The rich and vibrant histories of Kingston upon Thames’ residents are highlighted by the huge number of old camcorder, VHS, Mini DV tapes and cine film that we’ve converted to digital and DVD for local customers, unlocking countless old memories from around Surrey and beyond. As well as boasting stunning parks and gardens in nearby Hampton Court and Richmond park, photography fanatics will find endless joy in Eadweard Muybridge’s collection at the Kingston Museum: Muybridge was a pioneering photographer who who helped to establish the motion picture.

In one recent project we undertook for a local historian, who is currently compiling a history of urban life in Kingston upon Thames, we digitised over 200 historical prints to DVD and digital from the 19th and 20th centuries. Many of the images featured streets and buildings which look the same today as they did over 100 years ago. In another recent project we undertook for a local resident, who purchased one of our largest ‘Peta’ packages, involved converting over 40 tapes to digital and DVD, allowing them to relive weddings, christenings, and many other treasured family memories from around the area.
