The rich and vibrant histories of Edinburgh’s residents are highlighted by the huge number of old camcorder tapes, VHS, and cine film that we’ve converted to digital and DVD for local customers, unlocking countless old memories from around Lothian and beyond.
Edinburgh has boasted an abundance of photo opportunities down the years; beautiful Victorian and Georgian architecture as well as the stunning Edinburgh Castle, an array of world-class festivals such as the International Book Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, and surrounded by beautiful scenery in Holyrood Park and the nearby Pentland Hills.
The city has provided innumerable fond moments for locals. In a recent project we undertook for a local historian, we converted several reels, photos and postcards to digital and DVD documenting some of the earliest shows performed in Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre – which opened in 1963. We were delighted to have the opportunity to preserve some of Edinburgh’s heritage for many more years to come.
In another recent project we took on for a local resident, who purchased one of our ‘Peta’ Memory Boxes, we converted over 40 tapes to digital and DVD, allowing them to relive weddings, christenings, and many other treasured family memories from around the city.
