Convert old tapes, cine film, pictures and cassettes to digital in Sunderland

The rich and vibrant histories of Sunderland’s residents are highlighted by the huge number of old camcorder, VHS, Mini DV tapes and cine film that we’ve converted to digital and DVD for local customers, unlocking countless old memories from around Wearside and beyond.

Having once been hailed as the shipbuilding capital or the world, Mackems are incredibly proud of Sunderland’s industrious history. In one recent project we undertook for a local historian, we converted several slides to digital and DVD of Sunderland’s many ship building yards from the 30s and 40s. Unfortunately, as its ship building industry was so successful, Sunderland was a prime target of bombing during WWII and many of the yards featured in the images were destroyed. We were delighted to preserve some of Sunderland’s history for many more years to come.
